According to both the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) and the Outer Space Treaty of 1967, each partner country retains jurisdiction over its registered space station elements and its own nationals aboard the ISS. This means if a US national commits an act within an American module of the ISS that is illegal under US law, US law applies.
