@lproven Another thing tech professionals should do is take a good look at the questions ordinary people ask in the official support forums of Google consumer products such as Photos, Play, and Gmail. It's a humbling experience. Most people know literally nothing about tech, as in trying to install iOS apps on Android.

@oblomov yeah I’ve been using fontforge, and it mostly works, though yeah there’s a lot of stuff for outline font handling that gets in the way. And at least the version I have seems to have a bug where it corrupts bitmap glyphs on save, so I have to keep reloading from the exported bdf and losing links etc

Specifications and requirements are 80% of the workload of an actual software engineering project. The 20% left are just for coding and the other 20% are for debugging.
