As you kill more colossi it gets easier to track them down and find them since the corruption that is still left in the gameworld always leads to them.

After Hurricane María in 2017, it felt stifling.
Almost ten years after, this past summer there was a day or two that I honestly would catalog as dangerous just being out.
In 20 years I went from never using Air Conditioning to it being an absolute necessity.
It's so hot. It is the middle of October.
I do not blame humanity. I blame billionaires.

I swapped SSDs on the new rig. Mint is running super well. Now, contractual obligations force me to put back the SSD with Windows in it. I plan to make the machine dual boot. That's why I was reading about GRUB, which I haven't used in decades maybe.
So... sigh... Go ahead and laugh...

Guess what I do NOT have!

Machine is mostly prebuilt so didn't come with hardware. None of the other hardware I got came with M2 screws.

The one thing I wish Linux graphical applications would standardize on, is having some sort of GUI scaling option easily accessible on the top menu.
Too many applications are unreadably small on first launch on large resolutions.

I wish I could play shows as background noise. Or newsradio/podcasts. I envy people who do this. Because as soon as I hear people talking I tend to focus on what they are saying.
I can only do that with music, and it has to be music I';m already familiar with. And more often than not a certain song will just send me spiraling.
So I mostly work in silence all day. It's lonely.

Well I played the Skate Story Demo. I posted one of the trailers yesterday (also below).
I don't know if the final game will be great. Or even good. But if the fries/demo is any indication... then boy oh boy... It'll be a good meal. A meal that does justice to the pictures in the menu.
It might even make me say, "Yeah, this fucks so hard, this is why I play videogames!"
You're not sure yet, if the expectation that you had will be fulfilled this time. But boy oh boy are the fries good!
Maybe you were the right amount of hungry and not hangry, and the new guy behind the counter cares about doing everything right still, so they cooked those fries to golden perfection.

You know how you go to a fast food restaurant, you look at the pictures in the menu, and you form an image in your mind... An expectation... Of fulfillment

I'm sure I've posted it before, but in the off chance you have 20 minutes to kill before going to sleep, and wanna listen to something interesting...
Installed No Man's Sky, of course, on the new rig. Looks good but frankly the difference isn't that much compared to Series X.
But then I installed Just Cause 2. It's one of my favorite action games. Went into advanced settings. Set everything to highest or on. I could see whole islands for the first time.
It's been many decades since I felt I was committing a sin. Surely my father will show up in my dreams if I ever go back to sleep.
But for now, let's liberate Panau!
Well I got audio to work. And the graphic drivers are installed. Sensors are up.
New rig. Changed SSD. Installed Mint. Graphics card not working yet. But I'm sure I'll get there eventually.
It only took me 40 years to get it, but this is easily the best/fastest computer I have ever had. It's almost like flying.
I'm not emotional or anything, just... you know...
