You cannot make it impossible, I will always find a way. But you CAN make it easier, and I will appreciate your site all the more for it, if it does not annoyingly try to prevent, enhance, or redirect when all I want is to select and copy text.

I have not added sound effects, yet. But now I'm thinking, "hey why not add 3D positional audio, Godot makes that super easy, I should try that!"

Not entirely sure, but it seems like malformed .WAV files crash Godot Engine latest preview pretty easily on both Win and Linux.

Speaking of gamedev (if what I do can even be considered gamedev)

1) Music volume is very low. I've tried deleting every bus layout but one. Making sure it's set in project settings. Guess I'll have to log what the actual config the project's using to output sound.

2) I should really try to make a habit of listening to some sound effects and annotating which ones I would like to use prospectively. It's a chore trying to find something I agree with within thousands of files I've accumulated.

But to claarify, I'm not unhappy with this new feature of Signal. I did say I loved Signal. And still do. And will continue to use it. Just maybe not the new feature. That is all.

That is no reason for me to switch, nor did I allude to that.

I love Signal and use it everyday (and I donate!). But polls are a completely uninteresting feature for me.

It quite remarkable how noisy and hot this loptop runs under Windows versus Linux.

I'd like to think I run a tight Win11 ship too. There's no antivirus but Defender, no services except Windows own ones, very few background apps, I run almost nothing on StartUp, there's no copilot stuff. Not using gamemode either.

And yet, with Win11 the machine will run the fans and get hot seemingly randomly. Under Linux, it's so quiet by comparison.

Now I'm thinking I should make a basic control toast to display what song is playing...

... sigh ...

This was supposed to be a simple project... LOL

Is it possible to score free cc0, cc-by, or pd music anywhere these days?

I would usually try to make some bad* music using 1BitDragon or BoscaCeoil but I would like to use some properly made music for this project.

I used to trawl reddit for gameassets, including music, but I'm not keen on using that site anymore.
