It does! It was like a foot high of that curved lacy structure!

Three spots of magic, and the mundane where I found them. A big dirty pile of plowed parking lot snow. But it was covered in waves and crests of this delicate lacy ice.

Pleeeease can we watch the one with the dog again?

We've been watching movies and the dog sits between us. If it's cold, I pull out a throw blanket and wrap it around me and the dog. Yesterday I didn't get the blanket. Halfway through the movie, he jumped down from the couch, and went over and scratched at the basket with the blanket in it.
He happily sat through the rest of the movie once I had got the blanket, and when it was over, he flopped on his back so I would carry him upstairs.

I went to the carwash today. The rest of the province has been having the same idea. Long lines snaking out of car washes this past weekend and today. I got the "tricolor" wash but it only had one color today.

Every time I look again, it looks like more and more like an illustration to me.

The tree wells remind me of eyes in Pacific Northwest Native art.

The biggest icicle here was at least three meters long.

A coworker just mentioned in an email that he's watching the Olympics every day. And I thought, oh yeah, that's a thing that's happening, that other people care about. Huh.
