I need a tuque for a big fat head. That "one size" garbage is nonsense. To complicate matters: I have super sensitive skin, and I can't wear wool or acrylic. I had found a perfect one (it was acrylic but with a polyester lining so it was ok), but should have bought two. You see, my husband also has a big fat head, and was also tired of wearing tight little tuques that look like condoms on your head. And he coveted my hat. And I gave it to him because he liked it so much.

I'm not the only one in this household who likes the smell of fall leaves. He stops to smell much more often now with all the leaves on the ground. #DogsOfMastodon #FallColors

It's a lovely gray fall day. It should rain this week, and hopefully I'll start seeing mushrooms in the neighborhood. There's at least one patch that I like to photograph, that never fruited last year, because the weather jumped too quickly from dry to freezing. #FallColors

I don't normally see such large stemmed mushrooms growing from trees. These were right at eye level but I would have walked right by without noticing if something nearby on the ground hadn't first caught my attention. #FungiFriday #mushrooms
