Sicurezza della ricerca e scienza aperta: la strana coppia

Sia la "Scienza Aperta" sia la "Gestione dei Dati di Ricerca" contribuiscono a rendere la scienza più trasparente, efficiente, riproducibile, responsabile e affidabile. Gli "Open Research Data" sono una parte essenziale delle pratiche "Scienza Aperta", così come quei dati che, oltre a essere gestiti attraverso buone pratiche sulla "Gestione dei Dati di Ricerca", soddisfano quattro macro-principi di qualità tecnica: reperibilità, accessibilità, interoperabilità e riutilizzabilità (dati FAIR). I dati FAIR gestiti correttamente non sono necessariamente "Open Research Data", né si può presumere che gli "Open Research Data" siano stati gestiti correttamente. Crediamo che una buona scienza debba puntare all'intersezione tra dati FAIR e "Open Research Data". Questo obiettivo può essere raggiunto aumentando la responsabilità dei ricercatori, un processo che necessita di supporto professionale.

@carlopiana I don't want this to be an unproductive discussion. I respect your beliefs, but I'd just like you to correct a few things you said. In particular:

1) The attack by a group of protesters on the La Stampa headquarters is not an attack on journalists, but on an empty editorial office. I can agree that it's an attack on journalism, but it's not an attack on journalists.
2) The spokesperson for the UN Secretary General didn't distance himself from "the horrific position taken" by Francesca Albanese, but simply condemned the attack against the La Stampa editorial office. A condemnation expressed by Francesca Albanese herself.
3) It's not true that "She basically said that now they know better how to report. This reads like approving fascist methods," but that Francesca Albanese merely linked (and didn't justify) the attack by a group of protesters to the Turin newspaper's unworthy editorial line. Do we agree that La Stampa's editorial line was unworthy of honest journalism?

Can we agree on these three points?

@carlopiana There's nothing offensive about calling a spade a spade. Talking about an attack on journalists when it was a serious act of vandalism, but limited to newsroom property, is a manipulation of the facts. It's equally manipulative to accuse a woman like Francesca Albanese of supporting this act of vandalism, a woman who is now the target of a very serious and disproportionate personal attack by the United States, which is now exploiting its dominance over international organizations to target her personally, even before her work.

The statements of the GS spokesperson are simply a ritual statement to prevent manipulators from twisting the narrative to their advantage.

What @carlopiana said is merely an ideological interpretation of Francesca Albanese's statements. A tendentious interpretation that the entire Italian media and, naturally, the strongly pro-Israeli Italian government have adopted out of corporate solidarity.

The facts: a premise

La Stampa is a Turin-based daily newspaper that is now part of the same publishing group as La Repubblica. Traditionally aimed at a left-wing audience, La Stampa has adopted a stance uncritically supportive of the Netanyahu government, the ongoing extermination in Gaza, and violently critical of anyone who seeks—to simplify—to defend the Palestinians' right to survive.

La Stampa, therefore, favors and promotes the extermination of the inhabitants of Gaza.

The facts: the raid on the La Stampa newspaper offices

On November 28, the day of the general strike and the national journalists' strike, about a hundred protesters stormed the main editorial office of the newspaper La Stampa on Via Lugaro in Turin, defacing the walls and trashing everything they found.

Conclusions

Naturalmente c'è bisogno di un minimo di impegno, ma le versioni di mastodon post 2024 presentano una schermata iniziale che aiuta a definire meglio la propria timeline, con la scelta di alcuni profili consigliati dall'istanza
