Or at least their implementation in the SSI games of the Pools of Radiance series. IIRC a character dropping to 0 or below was unconscious and would bleed to death (to -10) unless bandaged, or something like that.

c'è il famoso aneddoto dell'insegnante che racconta questa cosa in classe, ed uno studente fa: «prof, scommetto che in questa classe ci sono due persone che fanno il compleanno lo stesso giorno!» «Ma siamo solamente in 14, quindi la scommessa sarebbe a mio favore. Non dovrei, ma se insisti …»
Lo studente insiste ed il professore comincia a fare l'appello e chiedere i compleanni, ma arrivato a metà si ferma e si mette a ridere.Perché?
