@bryan the captions are the best part of the show at this point. I'm not enjoying all the animal killing going on. I may run out of tolerance for it, if that continues to be the way most folks find food. I love the foreshadowing right as the contestant does something stupid.

It came with a three ring binder of technical specs, schematics, and field repair and calibration guides, and a maintenance log.(The electronics are on cards. I pulled out one of the record head control boards, and it has through-hole discrete components.)

@nicolaschevobbe @adamhotep I also had to look that up, but here's an example where a shadow DOM is used: In MDN's web dev playground, they want to isolate the CSS you write to only act on "your" HTML, not on the entire site. So they put it in a shadow root.So $$ doesn't access the <h1> here, but $$$ does!

@jeffcliff I think language is important. It is "kidnap" or "abduct", not "arrest". "arrest" is when there is a previously agreed upon reason, clearly not the case here.

It's because they don't have a well-defined canonical composition order, unlike modern Jamo, which do.A weird bit of trivia: there is no composition for hanzi/kanji/hanja/chữ Hán characters (what many call "Chinese characters"). You can't just build one in Unicode. If you could, they'd also be in this list, for the same reason that Old Hangul Jamo are disallowed (which were only added because scholars needed them).
