@stefano Several systems administrators who had been working with the banking industry (as a consultants for different banks) told back in the 2010s that then upcoming banking regulations would be driving small banks out of business. That happened in many ways. When even banks are too poor to implement EU regulations properly, it tells a lot about the cost and complexity of managing legal compliance requirements.

@autiomaa exactly. I've been a customer of a small bank. Luckily, they joined a bigger group that is allowing this bank to continue to be as in the past. But some banks had to be acquired - and became those cold, terrible big banks
