@ClimateJenny it might actually be a guitar pick. You can get magnetic picks that are strong enough to attach to metal.

Haven't played for quite awhile but I'd be thinking it looks a bit thick to use as a pick? I have been recently gifted a game that uses magnets but they're a little different shape 🤷🏼‍♂️

@slowmart @ClimateJenny yeah, you're right <note to self, zoom in to see the join around the edge> also I went down a rabbit hole with the picks after I posted that and the magnet tends to be in the centre.

Mystery solved! It is the backing to a name tag that is held in place by a magnet. Very benign.
