@murdoc @renardboy @KatyElphinstone even autistic communication is akin to TCP Network Handshaking.https://www.alittleofnothing.co.uk/small-talk-is-tcp-handshaking-for-humans/

Kia ora, I'm Tee, a #Librarian from Aotearoa who gets kinda twitchy without a book to read. For a longtime, work was my only hobby. Lately I've added #crochet and #knitting. I also love #truecrime tv. Was recently diagnosed #autistic, #actuallyautistic, which explains soooo much and has given me the grace to change things up in my life. Interested in how other autistic people are doing... and neurosparklies in general. Real happy to have joined Mastodon. Thanks to EliJ for recommending 💜! #introduction #newhere

@mayzbeen enjoying Airbag. An Argentinian punk rock band. No screaming and the beat is energetic (they do have some ballads alongside the energetic ones). Spanish. Owl City has some great tracks. English. Major Lazer has great electronica upbeat beats.Lindsey Stirling with her upbeat edm violin playing. Royksopp is pretty upbeat and energetic. Sing in English.Huh, just realized most my music is either metal or has angry or sad vibes. I can't think of any others... lol

I do not do well with #ambiguity. Get to the fucking point. Tell me, exactly what you're thinking or feeling because I do not know & am not egotistical enough to say what you feel/think, when I'm not the ambiguous player.#ActuallyAutistic

@dylanisaiah AuDHD here. Also a Common Lisp enjoyer.I love the extremely tight feedback loop and how interactive of a development style you get with the language. How anything and everything can be immediately inspected and poked at in the REPL as genuine objects. I like that it's a standardized language, effectively frozen you don't have to deal with things like a new version of a language breaking things. The uniform syntax of Lisp (s-expressions) also aids in low cognitive load imo. With Common Lisp you get a language that lends itself towards a functional style but firmly multiparadigm. What usually doesn't work for me are languages that I can't interactively use. Using Common Lisp feels like I'm literally touching a program, molding it with my hands, meanwhile nearly every other language feels like simply staring at text on a screen.See here for another perspective on Lisp as it relates to a learning disability in particular, extremely interesting: https://www.iwillig.me/blog/on-dyslexia-and-lisp/
