@Garwboy I have to try and explain simple statistics to people whenever I hear things like this... Most people simply don't understand the difference between causation and correlation... and it's frustrating as hell.Examples I use are"The sharp spike in the divorce rate in the 1970's was not caused by the 'women's rights movement' it was caused by legal changes that gave women financial autonomy... they could finally get loans, credit cards and mortgages without spousal approval and consent... and could then leave unhappy and abusive marriages. The spike in the number of left handed people isn't because of some (insert whatever bigoted bias the person has)... it spiked because left handed people stopped being punished for it and being forced to use their right (I know, I'm one of them). In both cases... the numbers spiked and then flattened off once more... The same will happen with AU-ADHD-ND (of which I am def 2, maybe all 3) because diagnosis and understanding has improved"
