I finally got the vinegar bath going to strip the millscale off the bird parts. This was delayed because I had forgotten the tarps I used to use had all started to leak. So I invested a bit in a much thicker pond liner. This had the benefit of being clearly labeled to be a plastic I could confirm would handle acetic acid well.

I always love how you can see the outline of the part in the vinegar bath, from the frothy bits of millscale that bubble up. I wasn't sure if just 24 hours would be enough, now that it's a bit colder in the shop, but the goose body came out great. One of the outer wing segments is soaking now.
