I mean he's right but can't people see how this will keep people from using fedi?

I mean he's right but can't people see how this will keep people from using fedi? my congressman Casten is probably the most prolific user of fedi in the US government.

The facts on the ground are that voter fraud is incredibly rare. The upside of falsifying the ballot of somebody else compared to the risk is stupid.
The people that I’ve tried it have been detected. They’ve demonstrably are Republicans who believe that election fraud is easy to get away with and they find out that it’s not.

Castigating people for not using alt text (or other conventions) is definitely counter productive. -

- I agree that this kind of nagging is a real downer.
- I also think it's an inclusive cultural norm to encourage alt-text.
- I find the process of writing alt-text for images tedious -- especially if there's a lot of text in an image.
- I think images are powerful ways to connect and engage.
- I think the state of the art in image recognition is really good, and a lot of this could be automated in authoring or reading interfaces.
- I understand that a lot of people hate AI. -
