I heard someone talk about "Apache, Jinx, and other web servers" recently and it took me a while to figure out wtf they were on about. I'm glad to see that that is a rightfully rare pronunciation. Anyway, I pronounce it "Engine ex" because the documentation tells me to say it that way and I'm kind of a rules follower.
