Hi everyone, I'm on a project, and I've got some queries about #ScreenReaders and symbols.

Hello all We're planning to start a Peertube channel, to replace our Vimeo account, moving our videos across to the Fediverse. There are many photo music slideshows from performances (with music supplied by the musicians) and also hopefully a few cycling videos. It will feature videos by both @StevenKennard and myself (the music photography being his work).I'm a bit confused about how to go about naming an account and then channels. I want to be sure before starting as they can't be changed once you set them up. I have an instance chosen, so that's something! Can someone enlighten me please? @FediVideo @FediTips #fediHelp #PeerTube #EllieKPosts

I want to convince my friend to join the fediverse and he would feel best on a drag themed instance. I couldn't find any, in fact not a lot of drag content in general which bums me out. If anyone knows of anything that would be up his alley, LMK, especially if there is an instance that is oriented for amateur drag.#Drag #FediHelp

@elettrona @fsfe @EUCommission I'm so so sorry Elena for all the trouble you went through.slightly off topic but: I never set up reverse DNS for my instance because I don't need to send / receive email from it. in case you still have Hostinger and want to give it a second go.But I completely understand your frustration and if you want to abandon this. Big hug

Yes. If no one on, say, mastodon.social is following you then none of your posts will show up in the global timeline there or in searches or in hashtags. Also if you have few followers your posts will receive few boosts so hardly anyone will follow you. So we end up with a handful of wildly popular accounts dominating the conversations which mostly happen on the big instances. Centralised power. Bad. The threadiverse solves this. People don't follow other people, they join communities and it's their membership that determines where the federation traffic goes. So nearly every instance has all the conversation and everyone is on an equal footing.
