I just saw the video of the ICE shooting in Minneapolis. I won't link to it; it's a snuff film.
I have no words, just terrified outrage.
@mattblaze There were a few videos posted. I will not link to any of them either. I will say one of the most terrifying things in all of them is not any gore, so much as the casual manner in which the agent unloaded 3 rounds into someone who wasn't "complying".

The highest levels of the federal government have made clear that they regard Americans who engage in protest and dissent as a national enemy. It is unsurprising that their troops on the ground treat them accordingly.
Kent State showed us that this is what happens.

The especially strange banal part of it for me was seeing how the shooter was holding up a cell phone (filming, I assume) in one hand while drawing the gun with the other.
I've seen so many people with that same kind of "split attention" - staring at their phone while walking, opening a door, or doing something else. Only difference is this guy was murdering someone while also on his phone.

@shoofle "alpha mask" is probably the term you are looking for. this would be for opaque cutouts eg leaves.
