Held off updating iOS devices until Apple decided it was time. Liquid Glass is a crime and I’m glad the asshole who came up with it was fired. Meta is the perfect place for someone with horrible ideas to land.

@beep @Brilliantcrank What worries me is that he apparently *wasn't* even fired. He left on his own, entirely without warning.
If Apple had indeed fired him, I'd have more confidence that they were shifting back to the right track. As of now, though, I haven't seen any indication that Apple leadership fully grasps how badly this guy damaged both their products and reputation.
So yeah—every day, I get that crappy popup ordering me to upgrade, and every day, I just swipe it away. Not a chance.

Adesso le ventole non si accendono quasi mai, il PC fa quello che dico io, non rallenta più per farsi i cavoli suoi e io ci ho guadagnato di salute.

@Gargron May I ask why? If there's accounts you don't like there, we have pretty extensive blocking features, including adding ATProto blocklists that pre-block a lot of negative accounts.
