It was pointed out that garlic is a blood thinner, and would make it easier for a vampire so it was probably them that started the rumour. -

It has always been my belief that Vampires love garlic. So they spread the word that they are severely allergic to it to get people to hang it on their front door. Free garlic! đ

@aeva I remember it was pouring with rain outside, but one of my cats really needed a pee, so they stood beside the cat-flap and you could see their little brain dreading having to go outside.
The other cat watched them thinking about going into the rain, and then shook their back leg like it was wet - just thinking about it caused a reaction. I've never seen such a clear sign of empathy in a cat!
