What's a game that made you cry?

Life is Strange certainly made me cry, as did 1000xResist, Ultima 7 Part 2: Serpent Isle, The Longest Journey, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Enderal, Mass Effect 3, probably more. i cry pretty easily to be honest, but the ones i named here have some really incredibly moving scenes and stories.

In Mass Effect 3 the two scenes that had me totally break down were Mordin's self sacrifice when saving the Krogans, and convincing the Quarians to stop fighting and live in peace with the Geth.

Not that I've played more than a few hours of it, however. You see, it was the first game I got after a certain life event which was proving quite stressful, and I was looking forward to some escapism, but one of the game mechanics instantly turned me into a blubbering wreck.

So, yeah, don't buy that game when you're looking after a new baby.

@moriel@chaosfem.tw @catsalad@infosec.exchange Yeah. I agree. I also consider it totally unfair that you cannot keep your promise to destroy the Reapers, without also killing EDI and the Geth.

And while on the subject, I think it's a dirty trick that they went to such lengths to hide Cortez' loyalty mission (and half the time, Cortez himself) from the player.

There is a "Mordin Lives" mod. He won't take part in any mission ever again, but it lets him survive. There's also one that lets you save both Kaidan and Ashley on Virmire, under the same condition. (It's a bit tricky and counter-intuitive when installing it to select which of the two will be still 'active' after Virmire, because it does the opposite of what you think.)

There's a mod "Audemus' Happy Ending" that skips the entire Catalyst Kid scene, and you destroy the Reapers but not EDI or the Geth. But I haven't gotten around to replaying the ending with that mod yet.

Unfortunately ALL mods that result in characters unexpected by the game being present at the party at the end of the Citadel DLC cause it to crash-to-black at the morning-after-party scene. I swear next time through, I'm just going to not enable the Citadel DLC. It adds more annoyance than it does gameplay value.
