I've seen several WASM Scheme implementations recently which seem to be partially or sometimes fully vibecoded. Sometimes I wonder how much the fact that we've built a *non* vibecoded Scheme that compiles to WASM has made possible the Schemes that *are* vibecoded and compiling to WASM.
I expect I will be going through a lot more feelings like this in life.

@cwebber You know, I often find myself thinking similar things. There was a big jump in nonsensical papers citing my network science book that occurred in parallel with LLM proliferation. So I can only assume there is nonsensical network science code being written based on the examples, which network scientists are going to have to spend a lot of time debugging and debunking.

Dammit. My calendar runner over . And yet. YET. I still managed to miss a bloodwork appointment because for some reason despite all the hoops to jump through in scheduling with life labs, they managed to send no actual appointment invite, no reminders, and I received no SMS despite signing up for one.

@eldritch48 Maybe. I don't deny that that's one significant path forward to something new and maybe even better. I just worry that there aren't enough good alternative ways to get people's needs met now if it does in the near term, but something really needs to change quickly.
That's one of the reasons I focus more on building alternatives than tearing down the current structures. I want there to be more than rubble left afterwards.
