The fastest way to get kids to stop using some neologism or some annoying meme is to try to get in on it and be a REAL cornball about it.
I learned a bunch of "6 7" jokes to just this end and that number has never troubled me since.
@futurebird
That's definitely something I miss from teaching, my niece isn't old enough to groan at these yet! 😂 -
No. Not 167,423 ants in a coat. That is incorrect.

@bruce @futurebird @Wyatt_H_Knott @mason That's not a coat.

I would be interested in learning these jokes, as a tool in my belt

...what is "mogging on other men" ... if it's gross I don't want to know. Just please tell me "it's gross" that's enough. But if it's not gross can someone explain?

@futurebird @mason same technique my sister is using on her 7 year old to hilarious results. Grandma is doing it too!

Why was 6 afraid of 7?
Because 7 8 9!
Works better if you hear this in your head or say it out loud

@futurebird Hm, hm. I suppose that's more civilized than corporal punishment.
My seven year old came out with, "Why is 6 afraid of 7?" tonight. Cannibalism jokes are okay.
Why'd the punk chicken cross the road? Because it was stapled to the other chicken.

@futurebird A friend of mine is running for Congress and at his campaign launch party promised to keep making 6 7 references until it was so uncool that everyone's kids would stop using it. It was far from his most important campaign pledge that night (because yeah things are dark right now) but it did get a lot of applause.
