How does a multi-headed creature like the Hydra or Cerberus drink? Do all of the heads drink simultaneously? Do they take turns drinking, while other heads remain alert to their surroundings, like a flock of geese?

Anyways, I think there is work to be done on making social network interfaces more conducive to good news reading. It's probably a reasonable research project for the Social Web Foundation and others.

@TomF @foone (which seemed a bit specious to me, they could have just made a seek on first boot or something just to check and then go on for there, but anyway)

@TomF @foone I recently read an article about Microsoft almost adding “seekless” floppy detection, but ultimately gave up because half of the drives reported a specific bit one way, and the other half the opposite way, and there was no way to tell which was which except by asking the user to do an insert during installation and they didn't want to do add such an extra step.

1) That's not me. Go argue with those people directly.
2) One great part of the Fediverse is that you don't have to use anything you don't want to. Anyone who doesn't want to use subscriptions or ads or donations or whatever doesn't have to.
