Honestly, it's bc things happen in bubbles.
"Hey, we need this functionality that does x"
"Okie dokey boss!"
*Functionality is created**Shitty person with no empathy for humanity steps in*
"Oh you know how we could abuse this existing functionality? Make teens feel like shit and take their parents money!"I literally see it at my job. I work for a bank and people are talking about increasing overdraft fee pricing. There's no consideration about the actual person who's affected. The conversation is always just "we'll make $X profit with these changes!"
It's just completely depersonalized and dehumanized. That's the whole damn problem with capitalism.

They aren't self-policing?!
I'm shocked! Shocked, I say! -
@CazzPhoenix @MyYeeHaa @selzero I didn’t think anything could lower my opinion of FB and Zuck, but that book did.
The author is the reader for the audiobook too. That always takes it up a level.

Zucks evil empire
@selzero know how fb began right? A hot or not profiling of college girls. The seed became the tree and monetized itself along the way.
