** ** *_* / /_____ ____ / /_(_) /__ / **/ ** \/ ** \/ **/ / //_// /_/ /_/ / /_/ / /_/ / ,< \__/\____/\____/\__/_/_/|_| tootik v0.19.9=> https://github.com/dimkr/tootiktootik is a federated nanoblogging service for the small internet.tootik allows people to participate in the fediverse using their Gemini, Gopher or Finger client of choice and makes the fediverse lighter, more private and more accessible. tootik's interface strips content to bare essentials (like text and links), puts the users in control of the content they see and tries to "slow down" the fediverse to make it more compatible with the slower pace of the small internet. It's a single executable that handles both the federation (using ActivityPub) and the frontend (using Gemini) aspects, while sqlite takes care of persistency. It should be lightweight and efficient enough to host a small community even on a cheap server, and hopefully, be easy to hack on.tootik implements only a small subset of ActivityPub, and probably doesn't really conform to the spec.Changelog:=> https://github.com/dimkr/tootik/releases/tag/v0.19.9#Gemini #Gopher #Guppy #Fediverse #ActivityPub

Sometime I see people do the following and I do not know why.1. Start a thread with its visibility set to "public". (post A)2. Get a reply with its visibility set to "public". (post B)3. Reply to that "public" reply with your reply's visibility set to "unlisted". (post C)Is it to protect the privacy of post B's user? The topics are often technical, not personal, so that makes little sense to me.Is it to reduce the number of posts in your public feed? Wouldn't your subscribers want to read the technical discussions in which you participate? Why do they do that? If it is due to the default behaviour of the software they use, why was this behaviour chosen by the author of that software?#activitypub#etiquette#help#netiquette#theguidetotheperplexed

First 100: BadgeFed Explorer The verified Badge was issued to @lqdev You ventured into uncharted territory and helped shape the BadgeFed project from the start. As one of the first 100 testers, your curiosity, feedback, and bug-finding instincts helped stabilize the platform. The fediverse will always remember your role in getting us off the ground—one crash, typo, and glorious bug report at a time. Earning Criteria: Awarded to the first 100 individuals who actively participated in the early testing phase of BadgeFed. This includes exploring the platform, submitting feedback or bug reports, and generally poking around where things probably weren’t ready yet. These badges are limited—no retroactive claims, no reruns, no exceptions. You were here. You mattered.. Issued on: 04/11/2025 17:57:58 Accepted On: 05/06/2025 01:35:26 Verify the Badge here. #badgefed #fediverse #activitypub #mastodon #IssuedByBadgeFed #_BadgeDrop

@evilworld @tizianomattei @filippodb ti ha spiegato che adesso deve essere rinnovato lo strato tecnologico che ne è alla base, ma prima di allora non si può intervenire sul resto
