@docpop @doc mastodon has changed the way how it handles links. If it is a link from a site that supports ActivityPub, mastodon handles it as a quoted post.
If you paste the link in mastodons text-form, you could try to remove the preview that it generates (with the (x)) and then it should show the classic oEmbed preview.

@fucinafibonacci @spettacoli Pure. Allora solo deleterio. E come film mediocre sia nella regia che nel lavoro degli attori.
Stephen Rea, che è sicuramente il migliore nel film ha comunque regalato un'interpretazione migliore in Stuck 2 anni dopo.
