Several unidentified vessels were seen approaching the #GlobalSumudFlotilla trying to deliver aid to Gaza Wednesday night.

The approach comes hours after the flotilla said that Israeli "warships" approached some of its boats & engaged in "dangerous & intimidatory maneuvers" early Wednesday as it neared the #Palestinian territory.

"They are already coming for us. Two dozen vessels are waiting for us," #JoseLuisYbot, a passenger on the #GlobalSumudFlotilla, said in a video posted on social media.

2 other passengers, including #JuanBordera, a regional lawmaker from #Spain's #Compromis party, confirmed the boats' approach.

One said that around 2 dozen vessels were coming & that the #flotilla could be intercepted within the hour.

Tunisian organizers & participants said that the Israeli Navy radioed all the captains of the #GlobalSumudFlotilla.

It said that continuing to sail toward the shores of #Gaza and attempting to "break the blockade" would be considered a "violation," exposing the participants to arrest & treatment in accordance with the *law*.

#Sirius & #CaptainNikos intercepted, says Italian journalist on board

The interception has started, said Lorenzo D'Agostino, an Italian journalist on board the Hilo, which is part of the #flotilla.

#Israel posted video of Navy calling flotilla

"The sole purpose of the *Hamas-Sumud flotilla* is provocation."

It included a video of an Israeli officer calling the flotilla.

She can be heard saying: "This is the Israeli Navy. You are approaching a blockaded zone. If you wish to deliver #aid to #Gaza, you may do so through the established channels. Please change your course toward the port of Ashdod where the aid will undergo a security inspection & then be transferred into the Gaza Strip."

Despite the warnings by Israeli navy, a number of flotilla boats continue to advance.
One participant named Louay Charni said in a video posted on Instagram: "We are at the back of the flotilla and we are continuing toward Gaza. no one intercepted us until now."
