if i did something like this in one of my indie games people would yell at me and say it was unacceptable *and i would agree* but somehow trillion dollar multinationals get away with it because where else are you gonna go

@eniko this has pissed me off to no end as I frequently use YouTube to learn how to play songs on piano and guitar and I hit that button A LOT

@megabyteghost also doesn't yt-dlp require an account to log in with with a nonzero account it could get banned in the future for using it

@eniko @megabyteghost I use command line yt-dlp, no account needed. Just give it the URL, and off it goes.

@JeremiahFieldhaven @eniko @megabyteghost recently I've had to let it rely on my browser cookies to do the downloading though, otherwise it would find no streams. But maybe I need to upgrade my yt-dlp.
