comunque la c dolce come suono è t + sh, come la z è ts (se registrate parole con questi suoni e le ascoltate al contrario, lo potete sentire anche voi). La i di ciao serve solo ad indicare che la c precedente è dolce, come la cediglia in francese. (A prescindere dall'etimologia; da questo la trascrizione IPA.)
La connessione “slava” che conoscevo è che la parola SLAVO e SCLAVUS avessero la stessa radice perché a quanto pare un buon numero di schiavi veniva di là.
