Phone hack:
Instead of trading in and upgrading every year, use the same phone for a few years with a chunky protective case, then go case-less and use for another year or two. Feels like a brand new phone, and now you've had it for so long you'll be less worried about the little scuffs it gets with use.
Never experiencing your device without a case is a real shame. I have young kids, so I need a case. But I'm mentally and financially prepared to buy a new phone anytime between now and the and of 2027. So maybe I'll need to upgrade if I have an accident, but if not, I'll certainly be enjoying the freedom of holding a naked phone for a little while.

I've been using the Pixel 7 since launch and just threw away my case. Feels good 😊 -

I've been using the Pixel 7 since launch and just threw away my case. Feels good 😊@pfr I did this with a Samsung S9 i got in 2019 and upgraded to a S25 last year, 6 years later. It was nice using it without a case and worked out fine. It was the battery life and fact it couldn't get OS or security updates anymore that finally made me upgrade.

I immediately use a cover (because the only time I didn't use a cover, many years ago, it fell and a dent appeared). But from time to time I change the screen protector and cover and it feels like I have a new phone!

Il prezzo del gas naturale sale di quasi il 40% in Europa a causa dell'ondata di freddo invernale. Negli Stati Uniti è aumentato del +18%.
Esperti: è domanda di riscaldamento + speculazione, non carenza di offerta.
Lo stoccaggio di gas nell'UE è solo al 41,1% della capacità, ben al di sotto del livello dell'anno scorso e della media quinquennale, mantenendo il mercato vulnerabile a nuove ondate di freddo o shock di offerta.

@oblomov non so, questo genere di congetture mi lascia perplesso, cioè è interessante se ci fa scoprire qualcosa in più su di noi o sulla realtà, d'altra parte chi lo sa dove si arriva, e poi chissà gia solo se se aumentiamo la longevità cosa succede

(Chiaramente anche in questo caso la soluzione ideale sarebbe la darebbe il #RedditoDiBaseIncondizionato (#UBI), ma siamo realistici.)

Ovviamente se si ha fortuna si può magari trovare un lavoro che piace e che si possa svolgere da remoto dalla suddetta casetta con terreno, il che peraltro aiuterebbe anche a guadagnare indipendenza (i pannelli solari costano, le batterie non sono eterne etc).
È curioso che questa soluzione possa funzionare molto meglio ora che, per dire, mezzo secolo fa.

Piú che parlare di lavoro però sarebbe piú opportuno parlare di “trovare sostentamento”; si potrebbe scegliere (o cercare) di vivere piú o meno ai margini della società, magari con la fortuna di procurarsi una casetta con un pezzo di terreno sufficienti a camparci di sopra, magari vendendo l'eccesso al mercato rionale (o dove che sia) per avere anche qualche soldo per le spese necessarie.
