Every evening, before going to sleep, I clean the coffee machine.

@stefano Great. Hopefully that machine will still be available next year when I am back in Italy.
I assume it also heats fast (my main reason from going from a big ECM to the Zuriga at Home), so it can be used like 5 Minutes after switching it on?

I have known them all, already,
Known them all;
Have known the evenings, mornings, afternoons,
I have measured out my life with coffee spoonsTS Eliot had your number, Stefano.

@stefano it's interesting to me that what in Scandinavia is an espresso machine is just a "coffee machine" in Italy. Here's what one might think of up here ☕
For espresso, I use an EspressoGC from https://rok.coffee/ -- it's more work since you grind coffee and boil water yourself, but the minimalism and "will last forever"-feeling might interest you, and I personally enjoy the ritual.

@stefano Here’a my Italian Silver Machine from AMA Milano. Had it for many years. My dad got it as a present during some IBM conference in the 80s. It has enough steam to make my daily morning latte. I’m using it every morning and I truly love it!

@stefano i ordered one for next year (found it online here) as it seems this machine is being replaced soon and i don't want one with more buttons, bells and whistles ;-)
Look what the postman just delivered. Exactly what i wanted, a cheap machine (the filter holder drives me nuts and i will see if there is a decent replacement) which makes decent coffee.
Thank you!
