@gfaster doesn't help with respiratory bugs which is most of what she's bringing home.
We wear masks when going out as a family but she won't keep one on at school when we're not around. The school has air cleaners which probably helps, and we have a bunch at home, but most of the time she takes a bug home the rest of the family gets it a day or two later because she's in our face so much.

@azonenberg ah saw your note on the other reply. I guess there's always home schooling?

@aeva they already have a bunch of air cleaners but preschoolers have bad hygiene and are constantly hugging and jumping in each others faces so there are limits as to how much room level filtration can help. They also spend a lot of time outside.
From what the teachers tell me the kids actually get sick a lot less often than at other schools without such precautions.
But getting sick once a month after years of basically never being sick... Definitely sucks lol

@aeva wife doesn't want to, and I can't teach her everything myself while also working.
Hoping when she's a bit older she'll have slightly improved hygiene...

@aeva but yeah this sucks I've been barely able to get off the couch all weekend, slept on and off for like 20 hours, can't sleep in my own bed because if i lie flat my nose clogs to the point I can't breathe out it.
At least the fever and alternating swimming in sweat and shivering seems to be over and the sore throat isn't as bad. This is the second or third nightmare cold she's given us that tested negative for covid but absolutely knocked us on our asses
