I think I have finally broken off my relationship...
with NotePad++
NP++ not having a Linux version is one thing. But lately NP++ has been running heavy on my cheap laptop.
Geany has no problem, and seemingly uses next to no resources, while editting the same files. Sadly I don't _love_ Geany, but it's on Win+Linux so it gets a pass... For now.

@afreytes fun fact: that's how vim became my favorite editor 20+ years ago. I tested a number of cross platform editors and despite the steep learning curve vim was the only one that was lightweight enough and relaxing enough on my wrists
