I walked into EB games when they were clearing out their new Nintendo DS games, and bought them for C$0.49.
Nobody wanted them. They were too old to be appreciated by current gamers, too new to be loved by nostalgists.
Meanwhile, I said, “Half a dollar? Fine by me.”
You can still get deals like this nowadays but you have to care about what nobody cares about right now. This will pay dividends because eventually people do care.
ok, so I set out to fix a small bug in roundl for 80-bit x86 floats. The final tally is four toolchain bugs (two already mentioned here, one bitfield bug on arc and a clang crash on arm because it didn't like the way I wrote a function), transitioning to a new Zephyr SDK and new Arm Toolchain for Embedded compilers. Thirty commits later, I've managed to get things working again. Phew.
@Abstract_Bit già. A onor del vero, è stato quasi sempre lo stesso, chiunque fosse al potere negli ultimi 20-30 anni, tranne, a memoria, cose minori. Potrei ricordarmi male però.
