Ogni giorno mi sveglio e sfoglio Mastodon e le notizie fresche, sperando in buone notizie.
Oligarchi arrestati, dittatori arancioni morti, guerre finite, rivoluzioni popolari di successo che non mettono al potere un burattino di qualche altra potenza, ecc. ecc.
Ogni giorno rimango delusa, anzi: mi trovo davanti notizie ancora peggiori. Anche sapendo che la schiacciante maggioranza delle persone comuni come me non desideri davvero nulla di tutto quello che sta accadendo, continuo a chiedermi come sia possibile un divario tanto grande tra i desideri del pinco pallo qualunque e le azioni dei personaggi che decidono di muovere la guerra di turno.
Non so cosa pensare. Che siamo condannati a ripetere le stesse dinamiche perché insite nel governo di grandi numeri? Che il potere, più grande è, più tende all'assolutismo senza controllo?
A parte l'asteroide, cosa deve ancora accadere perché impariamo a convivere?
Ho 46 anni. So che a momenti storici terribili come questo ne seguono altri ricchi di speranza e ottimismo. Se ci arriviamo.
Mi chiedo quanti anni avrò quando questa fase finirà, cosa verrà dopo, in quanti saremo a vederla.
Sperando di esserne testimone il prima possibile.
