@stefano i drink my coffee black (no cream, no sugar), and the reason why is one of my favorite stories.
in high school, i worked at a retirement home operated by the Catholic Church on behalf of the nuns who belong to the Franciscan order. Franciscan nuns are famous for refusing to cloister, instead, choosing to honor their Vow of Service by doing real world jobs that suck and are needed, for little or no pay.
And one of those nurses called me a wuss for putting sugar in coffee...

@stefano ... I replied to the nun, "you don't drink coffee with sugar or cream?" and she looked at me with this incredulous eyebrow raise and withering doubting glare.
she said that she worked 16 hour shifts as a nurse for 40 years, and drank coffee black before it could even cool. she was 102 years old and STILL drinking it that way.
so, at 15 years old, i figured that if SHE could enjoy black coffee, then i could too. :-p

@stefano I love coffee and all the different roasts and varietals. My hometown has a number of excellent small roasters that give me a wonderful variety.
Alas as I've gotten older I've had to cut back on my coffee consumption and have replaced my daily cup with tea. Coffee is now more of a weekend treat at the cafe.

@Gina It's clear that people who design hotels have never stayed a night in one. The people running the hotel are often not much better. "You want us to send up someone to clean the bathroom?" "No, I want you to fix it so it does flood everyone I shower".
