Yay it works! Before and after command counts per tile. For this scene, it takes us from 60fps to 80fps on my laptop. (The yellow region is 200 overlapping full-screen alpha blended rectangles clipped to a small area, and the ring comprises 500 overlapping alpha blended rectangles, the background is covered in about ~60k glyphs, some of which are also being clipped)
