I started my own monthly drawing challenge. I call it #October, and every day this month I have been drawing an octopus. It's a refreshing challenge in that it's specifically about drawing something that isn't human-shaped, or even a vertebrate. I'll post the results here in batches. Here's the first four.

The next batch of four #October illustrations, bringing us up to speed. I had thought about transferring them every ten posts, but I think four is a good size to chew on.
Days 9 through 12 of #October. In this batch I tried a couple different techniques, but I mostly had a lot of other work I needed to do so I opted for something fast.

This is only the second time I've heard about it. The first time, someone was talking about worm composting (vermicomposting), which uses worms to convert organic waste into nutrient-rich compost.
