But until now, I have not seen any platform that can compete with youtube in this regard, and all youtubers need to pay their bills.

Btw, a new trend as there are more channels doing so lately.

These channels often use hyper-realistic AI news anchors to report on fabricated major news events or promote scams, exploiting public trust

Saw one with Robert de Niro, Arnold Schwarzenegger and seen more…

When the owner of the original channel reports another as AI ripoff, I'm sure google AI can easily see that the ripoff is indeed a ripoff.
But they do need to make that reporting possible.

I stumbled across some fake Glenn Kirschner channels about 3 weeks ago and wrote to Kirschner (via bsky)

I think this is the fastest possibility, to inform the real people. They need to take action too.

Nonetheless I reported the fake Paul Warburg now too.

@randahl @darkpaw I located this from the main channel page (from my laptop): view page, click "more" on the description, and it pops up a window with the channel info, stats, etc. If you scroll to the bottom of that popup there is a "Report" button with a little flag. There's a series of questions, including options to indicate that the account is impesonating someone, and who.

@randahl but does google/youtube really cares? it's making money either way. it really surprises me that youtube is still a thing. while i understand the moneytization aspect, truth is, in the meantime, youtubers are both working and getting paid by a fascism supporting corporation... it will come down to us to be creative and refuse this state of affairs.
