I’m trying to learn how something in this computer works and what I find for my troubles is a link to an xkcd comic whose punchline is “go sit by a lake” and we complain about ai deskilling and what the fuck is this.
We gave init to the Linux sound guy and now he works at Microsoft making the boot sequence optimized for rentware landlords and people tolerate this.

@mhoye IIRC they just left MS to go work in a startup. Buy yeah, "see Fig #1" is not the best way to explain anything.
