@afewbugs Thank you! I'll keep you posted, although my process is never fast. Probably about two years per novel from idea to completion, and this one is only just past the idea stage. :)

What is the worst injury or illness your MC has ever experienced?(Current WIP, two MCs): Jum and Tabitha have both died and been imprinted on a fresh kid's brain several times. Recently, J was attacked using a targeted prion disease designed to cause dementia and (irreversible) death over a few months. T has occasionally been murdered (reversibly) by family members. (Cause of death: non-consensual destructive brain scanning.)Neither of them fancy scaphism, though.

His wired and mounted skeleton turned up on a plinth outside the police station the following week. The police couldn't figure out who did it: not long after, she took over his seat on the Sleepless Council. Jum: go with the flow then pick their pocket on the way out the door.
