Comunque amici, protip quando sentite il bisogno di rispondere a qualcuno online. Pensate: ma se io sentissi questa conversazione ad un tavolo di un bar tra persone che non conosco, mi metterei in mezzo dicendo queste esatte parole?Aiuta. Vi assicuro che aiuta.

Announcing Key Transparency for the FediverseI'm pleased to announce the immediate availability of a reference implementation for the Public Key Directory server. This software implements the Key Transparency specification I've been working on since last year, and is an important stepping stone towards secure end-to-end encryption for the Fediverse. You can find the software publicly available on GitHub: PHP Server software: PHP SDK (client-side):https://soatok.blog/2025/12/15/announcing-key-transparency-fediverse/

@_elena @Iloo @Castopod This is a target audience that certainly needs the help and guidance. I’m doing that for my family, in-laws, parents, friends and neighbours. Will certainly tune them to such a podcast if I will provide non techies the tool, tips, insights and most importantly the courage to take the first steps themselves or purchase managed services from ethical providers.

@kaixin it was just a test, so using Manjaro was a way of checking how it is doing now. I've used Manjaro for years, more or less 10 years ago. As long as you kept updating quite regularly, it was fine. Sometimes I convince people to migrate from Windows to a Linux distribution. I cannot install Arch to my father in law - so I installed openSUSE.The point is: on my pc, I can install anything - it's not a problem - but when dealing with common people, it's better to choose one of those "ready to use" solutions.
