I am rarely. I recognize that note-taking is often unfairly gendered and as a man I should offset that and put more effort into volunteering. I also know that the person taking notes has less time and focus to speak -- a double penalty. I am going to try to shift from rarely to often; I'd like to be doing more of my fair share.
@mos_8502 on one hand, violence is a language they're very comfortable with and enthusiastic about (as long as it's directed at those they view as worthless), while decent Americans generally aren't. Trump likes the violence and protects those who commit violence on his behalf. But, I don't know how you peacefully respond to cold-blooded murder in broad daylight with dozens of witnesses and three or four camera angles, if there are no consequences.
@swelljoe Everyone has a breaking point, a point after which they become a much more dangerous version of themselves. I too wonder where that point is for the collective population of the US.
@krisfreedain@btp@fosstodon Our DeepL limit has now been expanded from 1.5 million characters to 2.5 million characters, for only €15 a month more (€50 pm in total). Translation should work again.
Serenity for #windowfriday
A repost of probably my favourite window picture I've ever taken. I took it in May standing in a garden that had Star Jasmine in full bloom and the place smelt incredible! ðŸ˜âœ¨

The Mysterious Monster March: The Adventure Continues
a picture book that I am currently working on. :-)
"Dawn breaks and excitement grows.
Everyone is eager to continue on their adventure.
A tasty breakfast of sweet, sticky Hickleberries
makes them all feel very brave.
Later that day, they arrive at the edge of a vast lake.
The joyful monsters jump in with wild howls of glee!
Meenu cautiously steps onto a leaf to float across.
He has never been in water before."
