excellent decision by the ky sc. private schools are not where public school funds should be spent.

fwiw - we homeschooled. there is a robust homeschooling community in kentucky. clearly i can't speak for the whole state but the vast majority of the other homeschoolers in our local community selected that path for rigor and scholastic goals. there were a few on the edges that were clearly motivated by religion but they were not close to a majority.

was a post 9/11 homeschooling mom in nyc because we lost schools to the attacks and it upended downtown classroom counts for 5 years.

we’re atheists. that’s how i came into contact with real, in the flesh christofascist homeschoolers.

some had moved from the south or utah. the Birken Bag evangelicals, especially the mormons, are the weirdest of trad wives.

so yeah, i know what am talking about.
