    Switched browsers from Firefox to Waterfox this AM. From the bsky thread, they seem to be having a glitch where FF's not showing up as an import option, but I simply exported bookmarks as HTML and imported that way. I don't save logins in my browser and don't really use extensions, so that was about all I needed.Now I'm relogging into my main accounts (like mastodon). Overall straightforward, and the experience is pretty much like FF.https://www.waterfox.com#firefox #waterfox #noAI

    Mozilla's core value proposition was trust. They weren't Google. They weren't going to sell you out. They even listened to feedback sometimes. Now their destroying all that is left of that value by going all in on adtech and the A.I. bubble for a short term cash grab. But the A.I. cash will dry up and the trust will stay gone. And who's gonna pay for a V.P.N. subscription, email forwarding service or any other "privacy" add-on run by a company they've learned not to trust?#mozilla #firefox #AI

    @chpietsch the ones I'm evaluating at the moment are @palemoon (one of the oldest hard forks, from the XUL times, has native RSS and Atom support, engine has kept mostly up to date with evolution of web standards) and @Waterfo, less known than @librewolf but has better support for JPEG XL in my experience.
