I really think cats see people sitting in chairs doing things and they want the power to do those things for themselves. My cat jumps into the seat at the dinner table because he wants dinner. Maybe it's food or the socialization that happens around it, but he's there for it. -

So perhaps he’s just queuing up for a drink? -
