@mxjaygrant Yeah, I can see how that looks, but the timing was a coincidence. I scheduled this post with Fedica last night and it went out before I was even out of bed.
I intended it to be a call to action. I’ve said elsewhere in this thread that it was phrased poorly. I stand by that, even more so now that I see it interpreted as a signal that I don’t care. I’m sorry I wasn’t more thoughtful with my words.
I’m here to listen, and I’m here to do my best to address the needs and concerns of our community. I hope I can prove that to you with my actions.

@haubles You made this post roughly the same time you went around to Feditips et al introducing yourself as the new Trust and Safety person for Masto. Considering that in the years I've been on Fedi, I've seen Masto punt time and time again on protecting trust and safety, this kind of attitude screams "we don't care about your problems!"
How *exactly* did you think this was going to read if not hostile to the people you're supposed to be representing?
