But I care more about publishing. The truth is simple: if the choice is between a perfect platform and a published post, I pick the post.
I went with Write.as for similar reasons, i.e. focusing on frictionless writing rather than setup and customization.

@amoroso Moving from WriteFreely to Eleventy increased friction for me. I can no longer publish or edit a blog post from my phone and I miss that.
That said, I still appreciate the markdown input format of Eleventy and using git for branches etc. I also have more confidence that I won't lose posts if something goes wrong.
I think this trade-off between friction and features is ok for me, but it needs to be part of a conscious decision when choosing a blog platform.

@underlap Giving up on mobile posting may not be such a big deal, especially if posting frequency is low. Still, static site generators are too much for me.

Sadly, not the actual BTC. Hoping that he may still join the Fediverse though - and still appreciate his content elsewhere.
Next time, I'll do more to verify *before* posting about these sorts of things - I was a bit too enthusiastic here.
