If you're a Washington resident, here's an action to oppose HB 2112, which had a hearing last week. It's got a suggested script, talking points you can use if you want to extend the script or write your own, and an easy way to contact your legislators by email

And if you're a Washington resident who opposes age verification, here's another action you can take: sign in OTHER to an Appropriations hearing on HB 1834, the child safety bill AG Brown has been doing some great Instgram reals on. Signing in for a hearing states your position on the bill, and the action describes why we're suggesting signing in Other in this case.
It needs to be done by Monday at 3:00 pm (an hour before the hearing starts)

@penryu for me, I have a particular turn on 101, just past Gaviota Beach, which is where Southern California ends and central California starts. The Bay Area/Central California border is at Gilroy. The Bay Area/Northern California border is just north of Ukiah. And from there it just keeps going until Oregon.

@evan I'm with you. But despite the "Northern" and "Southern" monikers, this rivalry seems to have very little to do with geography.

@penryu oh, I'm sure they are authentic. But from the other direction, they seem laughable. For a Southern Californian, it would be nuts for SoCal to start in San Jose. That's practically in San Francisco! And for a Northern Californian, by the time you get to Ventura, you're *almost* in Los Angeles. It's right there.

(Foolish me thought Sacramento would be a natural divider, but alas, I was laughed out of the boutique shop.)
